Everyone is invited to join us for our annual commemoration of the library's benefactor Adelaide Pearson. This year we are hosting the first Adelaide Pearson Arts Festival on the library lawn! On Saturday, August 10 from 10AM-2PM local artists will present their work with live demonstrations and displays, while also providing fun activities for kids of all ages.

Teach Peace Prints will have a watercolor painting pop-in table and vending with seasonal wares for purchase!

Come say hi on Saturday, November 11th if you’re in the Portland, Maine area! I’ll be selling handmade Teach Peace Prints creations in person at Taproot Market as a part of their Local Maker Pop-up event series. Learn about the processes and techniques that I employ to create prints by hand on paper and fabric, and browse seasonally inspired collections of products just in time for the upcoming holiday season! Grab a nature inspired, unique piece of art to enjoy for yourself and a fellow friend. New and restocked items available for sale at the pop up will include prints on paper, fabric zipper pouches, reusable fabric napkins, throw pillows, patches, new creative kits, and other creative supplies for makers of all kinds. Join us at Cool Spring Nature Preserve to enjoy the culminating event and celebration of the week-long program featuring visiting fiber artist, Katama Murray and naturalist, Nathaniel Sharp. The artwork of South Jefferson Elementary School 5th graders will be on display as eco art demonstrations and two guided eco walks will take place at Cool Spring (11am and 1pm). Registration is not required for this free event. All are welcome and we hope to see you there! Sponsored by Rainbow Montessori School and Potomac Valley Audubon Society.
