Hummingbird Clearwings, also known as Hawk Moths, are named for their physical similarity to hummingbirds and moths. Their resemblance is an example of convergent evolution, in which they share attributes and other aspects with several different species. Also similar to a butterfly, they use their long proboscis to feed on the nectar of tube-shaped flowers.
