Create your own cyanotype prints and hand-sewn mug rug to keep your beverages warm! This class will offer the basics of cyanotype printing as well as hand sewing and embroidery techniques to create a small, quilted mug rug using various fibers and thread, including a cyanotype print on cotton to be featured in the final creation. Participants will choose colors, patterns, and palettes to form a piece which can be enjoyed for years to come. Emphasis will be given to the importance of creative play and slowness. Personal fabric stashes and threads are welcome, however, all materials are provided. No experience with any techniques is necessary to join! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
