Cost: Pay what you wish — suggested donation: $15 per person or $30 per family (includes a $5 materials fee for each registrant.)

This class is part of our family-friendly drop-in programs at 365 Gallery and has a limit of 15 participants. We recommend pre-registering to save your spot.

In this hands-on workshop, learn the process of creating handmade dye and ink using plant pigments from natural dye baths! Students will learn the basics of natural dyeing with shibori resist methods to dye a cotton bandana, as well as extracting pigments to create a palette of liquid inks. We’ll explore mark making on fabric and paper with a collection of seasonal inks sourced from local flora and food waste. Create beautiful, one of a kind pieces that can be enjoyed for years to come, while taking time to slow down and appreciate the richness and diversity of plant pigments dwelling alongside us.

All materials will be provided, and all are welcome! This workshop is suitable for ages 5+; children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
