Cyanotype is a cameraless photographic printmaking process that uses sunlight to capture shadows and create rich blue-and-white prints. In this three-hour workshop, participants will explore the basics of cyanotype printing on fabric and paper while creating a series of prints and cotton fabric patches.

Using seasonally foraged plants from the region, along with everyday objects, participants will experiment with shape, shadow, texture, and composition. This workshop offers a chance to slow down, connect with the season, and create prints that capture elements of time, place, history, and meaning.All materials are provided, and participants are welcome to bring small objects of their own to print with.This workshop is open to adults and youth. Participants under 14 should be accompanied by an adult. No experience is necessary.
